Other ways to help!

   When we began praying about adoption, we immediately started with praying for the funds. John and I work very hard to live debt free and we knew that we were going to have to work hard to make that happen with this journey. You see, our plan is to adopt over and over and over. We fully know that is going to be very difficult financially but yet again, God told us to TRUST. Domestic adoptions cost anywhere from $25,000-$45,000. We definitely did not have that sitting around, especially after all of the IVF costs, so we had to come up with a game plan. We started out going through everything in our home and selling what we could. It was amazing how much we had that we did not need! Then, John got a part-time job teaching a class at a local career center and Kelsey got a part-time job coaching gymnastics.

   After that, we had to think outside the box. I knew I could sew a decent amount. I also wear scarves whether its 90 degrees or 2 degrees. So, it became logical that I make scarves and sell them on Etsy! I quickly realized that busy hands helped the waiting so I sewed my little heart out and made over 100 scarves!
